One of the best Italian restaurants in Newcastle! The food is always amazing, and what makes the experience even more special is the atmosphere. You can actually have a chat with the chef about their cooking and even speak Italian with the owner, which gives it a really authentic feel. The staff are always attentive and friendly, smile and making you feel welcome every time. The place itself is small but very cosy, so I’d definitely recommend booking in advance as it’s usually busy. I go there at least once a month and they have never disappointed me. Highly recommended!
First time trying this place and will definitely be back! We’re not folk who like restaurant chains so this was perfect for us, lovely intimate restaurant, beautifully decorated and welcoming atmosphere. Now for the food - I can honestly say the meatball starter were the best I’ve ever tasted. I had the veal for main and it was incredible. Just fell apart. All the food we ordered was fantastic. The MIL and I shared a desert, lemon pie, again it was tremendous. Fantastic staff, great service and best food I’ve had in an Italian restaurant for a long time. Couldn’t fault a thing.
If you're looking for authentic, timeless flavors, this is the place to be. Generous portions, super-fresh ingredients, and home-cooked recipes. We had the seafood linguine, and it was simply delicious. Unbeatable value, and a family-friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Highly recommended!
Food was so authentic and enjoyable. Gnocchi was cooked to perfection and the bread was really delicious. All that topped with a canoli. The waiters and everyone working there was so nice and delightful to be around.
I’ve visited Al Dente several times for lunch and dinner, and it’s easily the best Italian restaurant in the city and region. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care. Chef Davide creates memorable dishes, and Fabiano, the owner, offers warm, welcoming service that makes you feel at home. I highly recommend it. I do Always go back for the prawn and courgette risotto! The Best!!! 🇮🇹
