I’ve been going to this yoga studio of and on for about 2 years. I’ve been to every Bikram yoga studio in San Diego and although they are all pretty good, this studio is my absolute favorite. The studio is maintained clean and tidy, the staff and fellow yogis are all very welcoming, and the owner and studio stays true to the practice. Even though the dialogue is the same during each class each yoga instructor offers their own special touch which I enjoy. I feel proud and grateful to have found MY bikram studio and at one point I was driving 30 minutes to this studio when there were 2 other studios closer to me (which I had tried out). The owner Sonia is someone I’ve grown fond of, I love her because she’s tough and full of love in the same breath. She honors the practice by communicating the dialogue while combining the medical benefits simultaneously. I practice 3-4 times a week and come out of each class with more strength and patience. I definitely recommend this studio, just check the ego at the door and get ready to work.
I absolutely loved this class! While I’ve practiced yoga before, this was my first experience with Bikram yoga, and it was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. The teacher was wonderfully supportive and encouraging, making the entire process so much more enjoyable.
The teachers at the studio are friendly and guide students step by step on how to do the postures properly. However, the flooring is carpeted, which is a concern because some students create puddles when they sweat. Since the flooring is carpeted, the sweat is absorbed into the carpet and will eventually dry stinky. The studio is old school and needs an upgrade and remodel. Additionally, there is no water for sale inside the studio, and their fees are outrageous. They don't have a monthly fix rate for regular students, and you have to buy per session or per package. In comparison, some studios offer a monthly rate ranging from $120 to $140 for unlimited use, which is a very reasonable and competitive rate. On the positive side, the teachers pay attention to every student during the class.
I chose the closest Bikram studio to my home for convenience and was not disappointed. From the owner "Sonia", to all the highly qualified instructors and friendly front desk staff, this business does it with dedication, care and focus. Thanks for welcoming me and keeping a clean, organized and spacious studio in top condition. I look forward to many more classes in our future. Thank you all. Aug 2021. It's good to be back on the mats. Sonia runs a clean, welcoming and squared away Bikram Yoga Studio. Get vaccinated/or wear your mask and come back to class. Check their website for latest COVID protocols to verify what's currently correct.
Wow! I’m pretty impressed ! I am visiting from Houston and I take a lot of yoga classes there. What I dislike about yoga classes is that a lot of instructors try to make it a boot camp by adding crunches and a lot of morning salutations in between every pose. I liked this place because we got to do the poses and really get some benefit from the stretches. The instructor was very clear and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this place!
