So well cared for in Urgent Care when I presented with heart issues yesterday. Sent on to Bendigo Health ED I was eventually diagnosed with Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation. The wonderful doctor and nurse who had cared for me in Bendigo Primary Health Centre Urgent Care rang me separately later that night to ask how I was and what the ED had concluded. Awesome care! When I had need to call the Clinic the next day, Tania - the receptionist - was also very kind and most helpful. Bouquets all!
I had my appointment cancelled 4 hours beforehand, 3 weeks ago. It was something in which I had to take time out of work to attend and travel to. It was something that was previously discussed as a service available and willing to be conducted onsite. The receptionist that I spoke to unfortunately I don't think knew the process as told me a different thing each time; it was not a commonly practiced GP service (which I work in a GP clinic and know to be untrue), I would need a referral (also untrue) or I could book an initial consultation in to discuss (again.) I was refused care on the day, and reception were not willing to accommodate despite their error. I ended up having to call my previous clinic to request a once off appointment due to refusal of care. I since emailed management, and have addressed them 2 times in the last 3 weeks with no acknowledgement or response received. It is sad that I have to submit this via a public reviews system, to know that I will get a response regarding my complaint.
Hi, Please try and understand the meaning of word “urgent”. Ask to wait 12 hours to see a gp Reply for the response Thank you the information and everything. Really appreciate the explanation and the time which is taken to put. Please check the other reviews. I haven’t checked them before attending. I would like to request kindly, please change the name of the clinic. Because it doesn’t provide the service according to the title which is “URGENT”. Also there are other medical centers which helps patients in few minutes even if they are short staffed. The only reason is management. It’s not that difficult to implement a system for the needs of patients. Again, please check the reviews. Thank you
If I could leave ZERO STARS, I would. I had a deeply disappointing experience with the young blonde receptionist, who demonstrated a complete lack of interpersonal skills. I witnessed her roll her eyes and act unhelpfully when a young woman—who appeared to have a broken arm—asked for assistance with completing her emergency contact details on a form. When it was finally my turn to speak with her, she was rude and repeatedly cut me off while I was calmly trying to explain why I had come in. She abruptly told me that my issue was not something they would help me with and instructed me to go to the emergency department. She also complained about Nurse on Call and criticised them referring me to this clinic. Going as far as her wanting to make a complaint. I felt rudely dismissed and left feeling frustrated. If this were my business, I would seriously reconsider keeping a staff member who treats people seeking help in such a dismissive and unprofessional manner. I hope this receptionist doesn't pursue a career in the health industry, as her attitude is appalling. Extremely disappointing experience.
I thought these clinics were meant to take the pressure off hospital emergency departments. There was only one patient waiting when my husband and I arrived. I explained that my husband had very high blood pressure and that the only two doctors in our town were away for three months. The very rude receptionist said they couldn't help us because if his blood pressure was that high they would just call an ambulance. Her advice - walk to the emergency department. Not far, but that's not the point. When we got to the hospital, the first thing the triage nurse did was take his blood pressure.
