I recently had a bad experience with Educators Music guitar tech services. I came in for a simple order with new humbucker and single coil pickups to be installed along with a brand new speed volume pot and a new volume pot capacitor mod. These were all left with the tech with clear instructions as well as a new fresh pack of guitar strings to avoid being charged for a new set. After over a week they finished their installation and setup and I immediately realized something was wrong after putting the guitar in my hands. Sloppy pickup installation (pic included, such a ridiculous slant), the new speed volume pot gone and replaced with a cheap generic pot and the volume mod treble bleed upgrade I asked to be installed was not even touched… Action so low the guitar is unplayable… I didn’t even bother with checking their intonation setup. I tried reaching out to owner Chris who I was in contact with prior to the guitar setup and he never bothered to reply back afterwards. I was also charged for a pack of strings that weren’t even needed… I gave them my own strings to use. I don’t have much patience for bad techs so I didn’t bother to take the guitar back. I’ve been playing for almost 30 years and I usually always prefer to do my own guitar setup and maintenance, but I have a number of older guitars that need work and a pretty busy schedule and I figured if this place was skilled with their guitar tech services I’d be a returning customer and bring in all my old guitars. Sadly I was disappointed with their amateur work and feel a little ripped off to be honest, I’ll have to go back and fix everything they did. Look elsewhere for guitar repair services, for example WD guitars which is right down the road from this place had much better service FYI. If you need some strings, picks or a cheap guitar strap maybe this place will do you right, but if you’re serious about your guitar and setup please avoid, save your money and look elsewhere…

I bought 2 piano books today and when I got home, I discovered my 2000s songbook was very used. Torn pages, dog-eared lower corners, loose binding. I looked up the price to see if maybe they were selling it at a discount, but their store price was over a black-out original price. Hal Leonard (the book publisher) has this book new for $10 less than what I was charged. There is nothing on the cover that suggests this is a used book. I like supporting small businesses and I don’t mind paying a small markup, but to charge that much more for a used product without letting the customer know what they’re getting? I’m really disappointed.

I had an absolutely amazing first experience visiting Educators Music! Jeremiah, the staff member who assisted me, was incredibly helpful and patiently answered all of my questions. The instructor, Mr. Karen, was nothing short of fantastic. I was thoroughly impressed with her expertise and teaching style, she made my kids comfortable and before we left my kid played a song on her own. We can’t wait for our next session.

I brought in a flute to be fixed.They sent it back to me and said it was fixed when my granddaughter tried to play it everything above the c note did not work.I took it right back, and they tried to charge an additional amount of a $101 after I spoke to somebody there. They knocked it down to 75, which we should not have paid. Because they never fixed it in the first place. I will never use this place again.

Educators Music has got to be the best place with the best prices in SW Florida ! I've been purchasing guitar equipment form Educators for over 20 years now. I've never had any problems and if I did, Educators Music fixed the problem in a timely fashion with a professional business type attitude and approach. They also rent and service school instruments. In fact, they provide lessons for instruments of all kinds. Educators Music has also opened a coffee and pastry cafe that connects to the music store. Its a great place for parents that may want a cup of coffee while waiting for their child to finish up a music lesson. The cafe features open mic nights and jam nights that accommodates people of all ages. I highly recommend Educators Music for any of your musical needs!
