Boy, oh boy. Their dispatchers know more about Dunkin Donuts than medicine. Ever since names like Burkette and Longino left the building, dispatch has become an absolute WRECK: Asking ridiculous, closed-ended questions, disregarding anything outside of those closed-ended questions, interrupting callers, THREATING TO HANG UP DURING LIFE-THREATENING SITUATIONS IF THE CALLER DOESN'T PLAY THEIR GAMES: LIKE THEY DID SEVERAL YEARS AGO WITH MY DAD! WHO DIED OF A PULMONARY EMBOLISM THAT COULD'VE BEEN AVOIDED, AND THEY'VE REPEATED THEIR FOLLY YET AGAIN!!! Utterly pathetic and disgraceful! I don't know if GCEMS or NREMT is to blame, but this is NOT how things were conducted when I was running on a rig! Get your crap together, GCEMS! Stop refusing to listen to people, in favor of your protocols!

B White is her name. I will never forget it. I called 911 because i was caring for my elderly mom. She went into a diabetic coma and lost consciousness. The EMS arrived, passed the unit that we were at. I had a neighbor flag them down to show where to go, B. White then took her time backing the vehicle to get near the correct unit. Upon entering the apartment they came up to the room where we were. B Whites partner went down to get the chair to lower my mom down the stairs. He went to lift my mom and put her in the chair and she screamed out because the move hurt her back tremendously. He apologized and was trying to be as gentle as he could, but B White stated well we are going to do what we have to do with an attitude. Her demeanor the whole visit was horrible. I made her aware that my mom was a hard stick for an IV and that lately she has been having to get the ultrasound to find a vein. B White continuously stuck her trying to find a vein, even at the ER. Thankfully, a nurse came in the room and stopped her from sticking her over and over and got the necessary equipment to get an IV started. The most hateful woman in this field that i have seen yet. B White is her name.

On Sunday Sep 21st 2025, at c8PM, my heart rate dropped to 20, and I lost consciousness at my home. The EMS Ambulance team including Emily Carlson, Walter Clements and Todd Kazlau were amazing...... very professional and caring....... kept me alive and got me safely to Mission Hospital. THANK YOU!!!... We are truly blessed to have you here in Greenville County!!!

Been calling them for a week and a half. I have left messages for a bill they sent to the treasury department. No call backs at all. I am a disabled vet, on medicare, which takes care of this bill, and now it looks like I am going to pay for their incompetence and laziness.

The EMS service was outstanding and very responsive, but their billing system is horrendous! I had received several bills with the balance changing amounts owed and at one time they added mileage a few months after the fact. It was very confusing. After thinking I had paid it off in full, I received a collection notice that 71.91 was still due and was turned into collections. I called and paid it, despite not understanding if it was actually correct. I just wanted not to deal with it anymore. Well, a few weeks ago I get a letter from the internal revenue of SC saying they will garnish my refund or bank account for 71.91 plus a 25.00 fee. I called the Greenville County EMS Digitech number and the woman told me they couldn't help me because I paid the collection agency and not them, when in fact I originally called them to pay the bill and they said I had to pay the collection agency. I just got off the phone with the collection agency ACSI and they told me I had paid it in full last Sept. and that they reported it was paid to the Greenville County EMS Digitech. They agreed to send me a receipt. Now I have to call EMS Digitech again to continue to hopefully resolve this. I'm afraid if the SC dept. of revenue seizes the money, I will have paid double and will never see it again. What a pain!! Update: I called the EMS number on the SC Dept of Revenue letter and they said they saw where I had paid. They apologized, said there was an overlap, and it would be corrected. They said to disregard their letter after I spent all afternoon trying to resolve this...thank you!
