I’ve ordered decorated cakes from all over, but was pretty disappointed with what I ordered versus what I received at Publix in Greenville, NC. The cake itself tasted good, we kept it simple with marbled cake. The icing had spattered dye from the attempt at airbrushing and the design was poorly executed. It was not worth the $70 I prepaid when I ordered online. I’d be more inclined to buy the pre-made cakes out front from here.

Love this unique grocery store. Has individual servings of prepared meals for smaller families. Produce always looks fresh and the bakery has many tempting desserts. Loved the enormously large chocolate covered strawberries for my valentines day treat.

I’ve been to different Publix and normally have a great experience but today ordering a cake. I stood for a minute and a lady that appeared to be getting off walked from behind the counter kinda ask did I need something. I told her to order a cake. She went and told someone behind the counter. A guy comes out. He had a mask on so it was hard to understand what he was saying. I told him what I wanted. He ask me what kind of cake. I said I wasn’t sure I had questions but he still continued to ask questions and his posture was a posture of not having patience like he didn’t have time to help me order this cake. He finally pulled up cakes on the kiosk machine. I’ve ordered cakes from a different Publix and the person helping me was very friendly gave suggestions. I didn’t feel rushed or like I was annoying someone. Very disheartening because I was not rude when I first encountered this man. For a place that their Motto is where shopping is a pleasure. It was not pleasurable today. Customer service was awful. This part of the review was written a week ago update on the cake ordered...I was so disappointed in how what I wanted written on the cake look like my school age niece wrote it. I've ordered cakes from a couple other Publix...one being out of state and the writing was great. it usually takes a lot for me to voice not being satisfied. With experience in ordering the cake not being the best and then seeing the writing I was just done.

Publix is a great place to shop for groceries/items; their produce is super fresh and they have lots of unique products that you may not find at other local markets. I promise shopping at Publix gives happy vibes, and the sales that they offer adds to it! The fresh flowers at Publix are beautiful; one of the best places to purchase your fresh flowers... you won't be disappointed. The attendants normally have great customer service! Normally they all have a welcoming vibe, and seemingly greet their customers. The customer service is unique -I like how they use to have employees to wipe down the carts to keep them clean... and if you happen to need rain accessories, they even have umbrellas and ponchos to borrow if it's raining. The attendants at the customer service center are always patient and friendly. Publix get alot of business, so be prepared for lots of people and a busy parking lot, unless you visit early mornings. Check out Publix for great quality products and great shopping experience!

This is the second time in a row that they have messed up my babies cake for his birthday. 1st time they gave me a white blank sheet cake, no words, not even the theme that I paid for. Instead of doing the theme they wrote in red letters his name.. spelled incorrectly. This time the cake or cupcakes werent made at all because they said they didn’t have the kit even though I went in and confirmed before ordering the cake. I didn’t discover the cake & cupcake issue until I arrived at my pick up time. NOBODY called to let me know anything. Now my baby is out of a cake on his birthday!
