Organized and friendly atmosphere. I really enjoy coming here to volunteer during week. The food pantry feeds hundreds of local families each day of distribution. Their website shares multiple ways to help out and volunteer through farming/gathering, shopping, pickups and drop off, traffic assistance for distribution days, and inside shoppers for orders placed. This program is such an important asset to the island and very a rewarding experience to be a part of.
Please **correct** the directions for people entering the H-1 freeway from Piikoi Street to Lunililo. The direction says make a left turn from the left lane. This is *NOT* correct. Please change it to turn left from the the *second* lane when on Piikoi Street. Poor tourist are following this direction only to find out they cannot enter the freeway from the left lane. They try to make an illegal lane change to get onto the freeway which is no fault of their own. It only makes the other drivers so mad which have caused road rage. Please correct your directions. Thank you.
Easy to donate. Friendly and helpful staff. They load the cart, ask if you need a receipt, and then weigh the items. Happy our team could contribute to the community.
If you’re here, you are doing a great thing. The Hawaii Foodbank relies on donations and volunteers. Good job! That said, it is hard work to work here. It’s cramped and hot in here. Most likely you’re sorting food into boxes for distribution. You can get into each other’s way and there are forklifts driving all around so be safe and be aware of your surroundings.
We volunteer our services so our Cross Fire Ministry can go to shop for our food bank at the church. Trust in God and believe in the process of your life.
