If you're looking for a unique and memorable experience, I highly recommend Mach Music Studio! Manny, the owner and instructor, was incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and made the entire session fun and engaging. My dad and I took a conga lesson, and not only did Manny teach us the basics of playing, but he also shared the fascinating history of the instrument and its influence on popular music. You can tell he's passionate about what he does, and that passion made the experience even more enjoyable. My dad and I had an amazing time, and it's something we'll always remember. I had such a great experience taking Manny’s conga class. From the moment we started, he created a welcoming and fun environment that made everyone feel comfortable, no matter their level of experience. Manny is an incredible musician and teacher, he breaks down the rhythms in a way that’s easy to understand while also sharing the cultural history behind the music, which makes the experience even more meaningful. What I loved most was how interactive and energetic the class was. You’re not just watching, you’re actually playing, learning, and feeling the rhythm! By the end of the class we were all playing together, which was such a cool and memorable moment. :) If you’re looking for a unique experience that combines music, culture, and a lot of fun, I highly recommend Manny’s class. I left with a huge smile and a whole new appreciation for conga rhythms!
Manny was so much fun and a wonderful teacher. We were looking for something fun to do on vacation and we found it. He is very talented and clearly loves what he is doing. We highly recommend this experience.
Manny is an incredible teacher. Not only did he teach me how to play in 15 minutes he also taught me the history behind the congas in American music. Plus, I also Learned how to read sheet music.. it was an incredible night of fun and learning… if you are in the Fort Lauderdale area, you absolutely must go to Manny… I strongly suggest taking your significant other, or your maturer children. After leaving his class, I bought myself Congas and bongos… !!! —-I AM HOOKED..!
What an experience! We booked through Airbnb experiences and had such a phenomenal time learning how to play conga drums with Manny. Not only is he a patient, well-organized teacher, but you also learn the history of congas, not to mention Manny's endless life stories. We had such a great time that we came back for a second lesson, in which he taught us how to play on three drums. Among my friends, we had a mix of folks with prior drumming experience and those with no music experience. All of us had so much fun! If ever we're in the area again, we'd take another lesson!
