Daniela took me on a private tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum. She is an excellent guide: very knowledgeable - including as to where to get the best coffee in Naples on the way to Pompeii.
We planned a stop in Pompeii on our trip to Italy this year and, of course, wanted to visit the archaeological site. With younger children (9, 11 & 15), this is always a challenge. While our Italian is quite good, it's difficult for the children to follow such information in a foreign language, which is why we looked for a German-speaking tour specifically tailored for families with children. We read about Daniela on a blog and spoke with her. Daniela was incredibly kind and, since she couldn't make it herself, put us in touch with a wonderful colleague (Nicola). Communication was easy. Nicola managed to get our children excited and was very accommodating to their wishes. Before the tour, we were saying, "Oh, why two hours? Why not just one hour?", but in the end, we spent more than three hours together (we had previously agreed on a flexible timeframe of two to three hours with Nicola). ...* . 2-3 hours . The price was also very reasonable for our family; with other providers, you have to pay per person (and even though children are often cheaper than adults, the total can quickly add up). Our next tour, which we plan to take to the "campi flegrei," will definitely be accompanied by Daniela and/or Nicola. Thank you so much for the wonderful day. Highly recommended!
We only need a few words to describe the day we spent with Daniela. Our visit to the Villa Oplontis and Pompeii was perfect: a wonderful day with a good friend who answered all our questions so easily and casually, while sharing the history and her city with such heart and passion that we absolutely have to come back. Thank you, Daniela, for being the amazing person you are! We had a fantastic time and are so happy we got to know you!
The five of us, a group of friends, had a fantastic 5-hour guided tour of Naples with Nicola – highly recommended! With his vast knowledge of history, culture, and hidden gems, he showed us the city at its most beautiful and interesting. We visited impressive churches, an old monastery, and explored the catacombs. A highlight was the Duomo di Napoli – thanks to Nicola, we were even able to see areas that are normally off-limits. We also stopped for a relaxing coffee and, on his recommendation, tried some typical Neapolitan pastries – so delicious! The artistically designed subway stations were also a real treat – we certainly wouldn't have discovered them without Nicola. Overall, it was a truly wonderful tour that the five of us thoroughly enjoyed. A huge thank you again to Nicola – we highly recommend this tour!
