Marco is always such a great host. I sat at the bar and had a bottle of Sea Smoke Pinot Noir and Zucchini flowers with ricotta and mozzarella. So delicious! I will be back soon! Cheers 🥂

Every dish we had was really superb. But let's start off with our first dish, which was drinks from the bar. The bartender was spectacular. I had an old-fashioned and my wife had a margarita. Fresh squeezed lemons makes all the difference. I will also say although not a dish having a live piano player was just a nice touch that put it over the top.

Been here a few times. Now one of our favorites! Food is excellent, service and atmosphere is excellent. Area’s best veal chop! Owner, Marco, is always very warm and welcoming to everyone! Highly recommend

I always have a wonderful dining experience at Novellos. It has a cozy intimate feeling and wonderful piano music the people that work there are very friendly and service is excellent the food is excellent and you’ll just fall in love with this place. I’ve been going there for over 15 years. Whether it’s dining inside or outside, weather permitting it’s available. I rate this place as an A+ plus.

I read all the reviews before choosing this restaurant and selected it based on those reviews compared to other fine restaurants in the area. This was my first visit. One of the reasons I chose it was that it’s away from the craziness of Mizner. The clientele appeared to be an older, well-heeled crowd. Personally, I didn’t appreciate the compulsory valet parking, but I assume there is a reason for it. I was there for a dinner after a business meeting. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, the service was exceptional and far beyond expectations. Everything was handled perfectly. The wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. The cocktails were very well made, even though we ordered simple drinks. The bar itself and the selection of spirits were well curated. The wine list spans several pages, primarily Italian wines, with a simple and reasonable selection by the glass if you don’t want to commit to a bottle. The specials were presented verbally by the waiter. One of my pet peeves is when prices are not included, and I personally prefer to see specials written out so I have time to review them. That said, the menu is not overly complicated, and it was still easy enough to make a decision. The food was phenomenal, and the presentation matched. We had the octopus and zucchini flower appetizers, followed by scallops and lamb shank pappardelle, and finished with lava cake and ice cream. This was one of the best meals I’ve had in South Florida in a very long time. The dishes were thoughtful, balanced, and executed to a very high level. Simple in concept, but complex in execution, and done with authenticity. There were no issues with providing tap water, which I appreciated. The entire experience was exceptional. Even better was the live piano playing in the background, which added to the atmosphere without being intrusive. Also know that there's both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating looked as intimate and well designed as the indoor seating. The only reason I didn't choose outdoor seating is that I didn't know if people would be smoking outside as so rather than take the risk I chose indoor seating where the piano is being played. I didn't see the cellar so I cannot comment. I don’t give out five-star reviews lightly, especially to restaurants at this level, but this was truly a five-star meal and a five-star experience. It was not over the top or pretentious at all. It was expensive, but deservedly so. Note to anyone reading my review and considering other restaurants at this level. Please take my recommendation for eating here seriously. Please also know how important it is to have a independent restaurant like this in the community and appreciate and support the owners and staff. Running a restaurant at this level consistently is not easy, and based on how busy it was and the apparent appreciation from the clientele I saw enjoying their meals and the company of their friends, they are clearly doing something right.
