Brilliant and necessary. Excellent team, which doesnʻt happen by itself. I buy useful things here and things that bring joy to me and others. Iʻve also donated things back that I bought here when done with them. I shop here for presents; they are (almost) always appreciated. I found beams from Ward Warehouse. Where would we be without you? I had a surprisingly positive experience here overall. The customer service in the lumberyard was excellent—staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to answer questions without making me feel rushed. They pointed me in the right direction, helped me find what I needed, and generally made the visit easy and stress-free. That said, once I stepped inside the warehouse, I was a bit taken aback. It wasn't quite what I expected, and the atmosphere felt a little overwhelming and oppressive compared to the professionalism I experienced outside in the yard. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but it definitely took some of the shine off the visit. The lumberyard team earned every bit of the four stars. If I were rating service alone, it would be a full five. Unfortunately, the warehouse experience left me feeling that one visit was enough for me. Great people, great service, but probably not somewhere I'll be returning to anytime soon.
Terrific resource for materials. This 6 foot solid wood cabinet door ($10) is going to become a TV table (pls forgive the temp drywall buckets).The lamp was just $10, as well. You never know what you might find.
Good place to look for raw materials for DIY projects. There’s usually a lot of wood, stone, and glass for cheap. Also a fun place to hunt for cheap furnishings like appliances, furniture, and even artwork. A lot of them are damaged or dirty, but you occasionally get lucky with finds that are in good condition.
Honolulu Tool Library in the Re-use Hawaii got a new tool, laser cutter. Cutting out and engraving on wood, leather, or glass (not cutting out) expands my project world bigger and better! And Ben has great knowledge here for us! So exciting to think about the next project!
