Had a fantastic experience today. The staff were friendly and attentive, and there was a great variety of choices on the menu. The schnitzel was a standout—perfectly cooked, with juicy chicken inside and a deliciously crispy coating. Highly recommend giving this place a try. I'll definitely be returning!
The staff were so nice! I got what I ordered, enjoyed done local beers (all in cans) and felt comfortable eating in solo. You can also order to go. Space to sit inside or out. A bit hard to find if you are not local. You may have to enter from a lane / alley to find a hidden group of shops, including Schnitty’s.
Don’t walk, RUN to book your next meal here!! This was my first time, and from the very second I walked in, the amazing service started!! I had a table by the open windows on an unusually warm Tassie evening. The entire menu is GLUTEN FREE [except the wraps, no biggie] - and it’s soooo hard to choose because everything looks incredible. The whole menu is super reasonably priced, and the food came out FAST!! The atmosphere has a modern vibe, almost a modern version of a cool ‘90’s Melbourne [Ligon street] cafe if anyone remembers. Generous portions without making me feel over full, super fresh!! The salad was amazing and the sauces were perfect. Cannot fault this place at all. A real gem.
I tried out Schnitty Bar while I was working down in Launceston & I wasn’t disappointed. Ordered their Vegetarian option which was incredible, usually I’d go get Schnitz in my home state but Schnitty Bar blew them out of the water. The service was quick despite it being busy & the food was beautiful. Definitely a restaurant I’ll be returning to on my next trip to Launceston later this month.
We were wandering around looking for dinner, saw a sign on the road and followed it down the lane. Vegetarian options seem to be fairly lame at meat restaurants so I normally avoid them but was blown away with the vego burger. My 11 year old actually ate the add on salad without complaint and attacked her schnitzel with gusto. Service was impeccable, food was fresh, full of flavour and filling. Pleasantly blown away with a hidden gem and would definitely recommend.
