What a great place to eat! Food here is very fresh with lots of flavor. I recommend their oysters, we had Blue Point and Moon Dancer. The meal portions are pretty large. Parking isn't bad at all. We prefer their outdoor patio area more than inside dining.
I hosted my baby shower here over the weekend and it was absolutely fantastic! The space was perfect and the food was excellent as always! The entire staff took such good care of us and I received multiple compliments on the entire event. Barbara was wonderful in helping my vision come together. I look forward to hosting more events here in the future. Thank you SRG!
Third time there. Twice with business associates and this last time was with my wife. And I will probably not go back. I have never paid this much for a meal and had such bad service. The appetizer, lamb chops; and my meal, Swordfish Au Poirve; was standard fare, meeting basic requirements. My wife ordered the Fiji island tuna and something in her dish gave her a few hours of nonstop trips to the bathroom. Aside from the water, which my wife stayed with, I ordered iced tea and an old fashioned. After taking our order, the server came back to the table once, right after we got our main dishes and then did not return until she brought us the check when we were done our main course. My tea glass and the old fashioned sat empty on the edge of the table for about twenty minutes. We were not offered any refills or a dessert menu until I inquired when she brought the check. For dessert, we ordered the bread pudding and the creme brulee. Both were fine and we finally got a refill on my tea and more water. To top it off, after horrible service, the waitress stood over me while I was completing payment on their mobile card reader. This practice is extremely bad form and only serves as intimidation to the patron to leave a larger tip.
Always a great meal and service... One of our favorite restaurants.BUT.. went last night to celebrate my birthday and my friend who is a professional baker brought me a key lime pie she made and she asked the restaurant if they would serve it. Most places charge a service fee of a few dollars a plate because after all we aren't eating their desserts so I get it. However when the bill came they charged us $45 to serve our own pie. I get it.. they are in the business of selling food but either they should have warned us that it was going to be that much as I would have just taken the pie home or they should be a little more reasonable in what they charge. Very disappointed.
My partner and I shared four apps and one main, and we were almost perfectly happy. The coconut shrimp was the standout of the night with huge shrimp perfectly fried with delicious sauce and salsa - definitely a must-try. The oysters were also delicious and fresh, and the muscles were fresh and very light with some awesome garlic bread. The bacon wrapped scallops were fine, cooked well, but not overly exciting or tasty. For main we shared the salmon, which had a great crust and glaze in it but was undercooked in the center. Our server was lovely and helpful and the ambiance was sophisticated with enough beach charm without being cliche or touristy. For $180, we got these four apps, a main, and a glass of wine. Definitely a decent date night! Would definitely come back and recommend this to others!
