We recently went back to The Office in downtown Delray Beach after not visiting for about a year, and I have to say the experience was much better this time around. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Atlantic Avenue and within walking distance of everything. One of the biggest positives was that while many nearby restaurants had 60-minute waits, we were able to walk right in around 9:30 PM and get seated immediately. Service was very good throughout the evening. The wait staff was friendly, attentive, and never disappeared on us, even though we didn’t require much attention. The food was surprisingly good and very flavorful. On our previous visit about a year ago, we honestly weren’t impressed with the food, so this visit was a noticeable improvement. There’s also a solid variety on the menu, which makes it easy for different people to find something they’ll enjoy. The biggest downside is the noise level. This is definitely not the place for a quiet dinner conversation. Between the busy indoor and outdoor bar scenes, the crowd, music, and overall energy, it gets extremely loud inside. Sitting outside may help somewhat, although Atlantic Avenue traffic still adds its own noise. Prices are moderate for downtown Delray and felt reasonable considering the location. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and would definitely return, especially for lunch or during a less crowded time when the atmosphere would likely be more relaxed.
I've eaten here quite a few times over the years and love this place. We came for Valentine's Day and the food quality has gone down so much :( the service was *great* as always but my boyfriend's plate looked so sparse and my chicken was super dry and everything unseasoned. His sweet potato fries were so limp and soggy. Also the rice medley looked (and tasted) like it came out of a great value bag in the freezer section at Walmart. :( We went to kapow a cross the street after to get a snack and some drinks.
I came for a solo date and was really excited to try this place. Unfortunately, the food was very bland which was really disappointing. I ordered the chicken tinga tacos and they looked amazing but had no flavor whatsoever. However, the drink was incredible so I gave 3 stars for this. I ordered two because it was that delicious. I could definitely see myself visiting this spot again for the drinks. Overall, I would recommend giving it a try. I saw other reviews that said they had good food so it’s worth a shot.
Joseph was absolutely amazing. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel welcomed and taken care of. His drink recommendations were spot on, perfectly balanced and exactly what we didn’t even know we were craving. You can tell he really knows his stuff and pays attention to what guests will enjoy. The food recommendations were just as impressive. Everything he suggested was flavorful, well paired, and exceeded our expectations. It made the whole experience feel elevated and effortless. What really stood out was his attentiveness and genuine energy. He checked in at the right moments without being overbearing and made sure everything was perfect throughout. If you get the chance, definitely ask for Joseph. You won’t regret it.
First time ordering takeout from The Office Delray and I went with a burger and fries. Everything was ready quickly and still hot by the time I got home, which was a good first impression for a pickup order. The burger was solid—juicy, well put together, and not falling apart during the drive. The fries came out crisp and seasoned well, holding up better than I expected for takeout. Nothing felt soggy or rushed, and the portions were fair for the price. Overall, it was a smooth first experience. Simple order, done right, and I’d definitely come back again when I’m in the mood for a reliable burger and fries spot in Delray.
