Very good hamburger—the bun is soft and fresh, and the ingredients are too. The fries are satisfying, but the portion could be bigger. Great service, a pleasant and very clean environment. I’ll definitely come back more often.
Apologies to others, but THIS is the best real burger in Greenville! Reminded me of the big fat burgers cooked on the charcoal grill from childhood - not pressed universal roundness/thickness. This was an outstanding find! I'm usually not much inclined for a fountain drink most often too flat - no fizz or burn. I was pleasantly surprised, it squeaked into that top echelon of locations that stick in your memory of where to go for the best. We all know our favorites. Give Wayback a shot, you will be pleased you did. And yes, the burgers are as big as they appear on the menu. You will eat it all despite thinking "jeesh- that's way too big". It will disappear from your plate and you will be surprised when you realize there's only one bite left.
Food is great, but it takes forever to get your food. I placed an online order at 7:04 PM and showed up right at 7:21 PM (when the email said the order would be ready). When I got there (the only customer there) they told me they just started working on my order and it would be another 15 minutes. I had a very similar experience the first time I came into the restaurant and ordered from the counter
This is a fun place to sit and study old photos... clean dining area. But I found the burger to be lacking in "burger flavor"... not seared like most burgers. Blah. Although this was National Cheeseburger day and they were honoring BOGO..... but BOGO CHEESEBURGER was a secret they never mentioned.. another customer told us about it and I got a refund for one cheeseburger ... but only when I called them out on t. The staff was polite enough but not very helpful. Now I remember why we didn't go back after our first visit... all of the above. Burger tasted better this visit Fried were pretty good. I noticed that the cooking area floor needs a "deep cleaning" to handle all the grease from cooking but the surfaces were clean. I would still go back. Staff is super nice.
Fresh Flavors, a great vegan/veg option, and the best Diet Coke I have had in Greenville! The impossible burger was excellent! (most non Vegan places overcook) Please consider adding Vegan Cheese as an option for the impossible melt!
