A Springtime Surprise at St Anne’s Winery What better way to spend a warm spring day than cruising down a country road in search of good food and great vibes? Our late lunch destination: St Anne’s Winery. As we pulled in, my heart sank just a little—cars everywhere! A full car park usually means one of two things: the food’s fantastic, or you’re about to get turned away. Turns out… both were true! We were told twice that they were completely booked out, so off to the standing bar we went for a drink (none for me, thank you—I opted for the shade of the ornamental grapevines instead). But then, as if by magic, my friend waved me over—a table had just opened up on the verandah! Talk about perfect timing. And oh, was it worth the wait. My prawn pizza arrived loaded with juicy prawns, spicy chorizo, cherry tomatoes, spinach, goat cheese, Napoli, and mozzarella—a flavour-packed beauty I nearly finished all by myself (washed down with my rare sip or two of beer). My friend’s pumpkin and spinach ravioli with creamy cheese, crispy prosciutto, walnut crumb, and Parmesan looked like something out of a food magazine. The atmosphere was spot-on: friendly, relaxed, and humming with the soft tunes of a solo musician inside. Even from the verandah, conversation flowed as easily as the wine. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—though, full disclosure, there was a fair bit of “wine talk” since my friend and one of the owners are both winemakers! A few standout details: the fresh roses on every table, the massive barrel shed that doubles as an event space (complete with a slick commercial kitchen), and beautifully maintained gardens that make the whole place feel special. And let’s be honest—any place that keeps their toilets spotless and smelling fresh gets extra points from me. (It’s the little things that matter!) Would I go back? Absolutely. Even Duke the dog loved it. Between the food, the scenery, and the surprise verandah table, St Anne’s Winery turned an ordinary country drive into an unforgettable afternoon.

I had a pleasant experience at St. Annes winery yesterday. I was an MC for a lovely couples wedding. From the get go Emily and her staff were pleasant to deal with and she ran the venue like clock work. The food was flavoursome and we had pleasant views of the vineyards. Highly recommended for private or corporate functions.

Second time at St Anne’s. This time we were disappointed as they totally mucked up our food orders. Brought my husband’s risotto main before the starters. Then said it was his fault because he ordered the risotto as an entree. No he didn’t! Eventually the lady apologised and said it was because they were over whelmed. We got our starters which were only average. Then our mains which weren’t great either. Shame as last time was a lot better.

Booked the platter for two. Lots of yummy goodies on the plate. Wine tasting was great and they were happy for us to try as much as we liked. Would recommend the Chardonnay and the Sparkling Shiraz. Just lovely. Staff really friendly, lots of parking, would definitely recommend

Beautiful way to spend an afternoon. Sitting outside in the sunshine while enjoying nibbles and Pizza. Relaxing location while listening to their live band. Will definitely do it again.
